Patnitop, one of the beautiful resorts of J&K State is situated at a distance of 110 Kms from Jammu on Jammu Srinagar National Highway at an altitude of 6880 ft. above see level. Patnitop circuit includes the places of tourism importance like Sanasar, Nathatop, Mantalai and places of religious/ historical importance like Gourikund and Sudhmahadev. The circuit has vast potential for adventure, cultural religious and recreational tourism. The famous shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji is located at a distance of 80 kms from Patnitop and famous Shiv Khori shrine also falls in the same district.

With a view of promote the vast tourism of Patnitop area and to make the nation familiarize with the beautiful landscape/ cultural heritage/ religious importance, the Patnitop Development Authority intends to organize a national Integration Camp cum Youth Festival at Patnitop from 4th October to 10th October 2004 inviting participants/ teams from all over the country.

During National Integration Camp cum Youth Festival, the following activities shall be organized:

Patnitop Development Authority and Department of youth Services and Sports, Government of J&K, would feel immense pleasure in extending invitation to your institution to nominate 2 responsible escorts one for male another for female and 20 students aging 20 to 35 years for participating in Youth festival on following terms and conditions. It is further requested at least 50% participants should be female and 20% of participants should preferably be amongst SC/ST/OBC:

The participants shall be received at Jammu Tawi Railway Station/ General Bus Stands Jammu for onward journey to Patnitop development Authority shall provide transportation, boarding, lodging facilities free of cost to all the participants/ team managers, during their stay in Youth festival.

All the arrangements during the Youth Festival shall be made by the Patnitop Development Authority and participants shall be given prizes/ awards by eminent personalities for their performance in different fields.

The Patnitop Development Authority shall bear to and fro expenses for destination to Jammu/ Patnitop @ Rs. 500/- or actual concessional fare, whichever is less, per participants plus incidental charges @ Rs. 50/- per day during their journey.

In view of the setting in of cold weather, the mercury is likely to fall during the period. All participants and escorts may please bring along warm clothing. The participants are further requested to bring State costumes for presenting cultural programme during he opening and other functions, Camp Craft for State Exposition, University or State Flag etc.
